Garden waste collections stop for six weeks over winter, from 7 December 2026 to 16 January 2027, while crews collect the extra recycling from Christmas.
Households without space for wheeled bins, or who cannot move them safely, can have bags instead: clear bags for recycling, brown bags for garden waste, purple bags for rubbish, and a food caddy. How to ask for bag collections.
